Northwest Little League San Antonio, Texas

Our Mission

Our mission is to firmly implant in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority and empathy for all human beings so that they may be well adjusted stronger and happier children that will grow up to be good, responsible, healthy and trustworthy citizens.

Our mission will be achieved by providing supervised, competitive baseball and softball programs, under the rules and regulations of Little League Baseball, Inc. and, by the adoption of local rules and regulations as deemed necessary by the Northwest Little League Board of Directors.  No rule(s) shall be adopted by said organization that conflicts with the rules and regulations of Little League Baseball, Inc. located in Williamsport, PA.  All directors, officers and members shall bear in mind that the attainment of exceptional athletic skill or the winning of games is secondary, and the molding of future citizens is of the utmost importance.

We have been members of the vibrant Leon Valley community for over 60 years! During this time our way of molding the youth of this community remains the same: teach the game and learn life lessons.

Northwest Little League was the first little league in San Antonio to win a world series!  In 2007, our Senior Softball girls won the little world series for softball.  Our baseball and softball divisions have, over the years, earned many divisional  district championships.

Our Fields:

Phillip Manwaring Field - Phillip Manwaring was a player at Northwest Little League and a great one at that.  At one point coached by Joe Navarro and Jimmy Davenport, their sentiments were that he left everything on the field.  Sadly when Phillip was in his teens he developed a tumor which ultimately claimed his life.  His legacy though lives on in our NWLL family as many generations have played on this field and many future generations will continue to use this field.

Joe Navarro Field - Named after coach and parent volunteer, Joe Navarro was the epitome of what it means to serve the community.  He coached many teams and selflessly gave his time.  Even after his children were grown up Joe Navarro continued to be involved in the league and help make NWLL better than when he found it.
